The Hold

Monthly XP guide

Monthly Contest Details

Monthly XP records fee-qualified The Hold acquisitions and successful lifecycle challenges in an immutable season ledger. Enter only by choice, compete during a UTC calendar month, and keep profile visibility under separate control.

Entering

Participation is optional and explicit

Monthly Contest Participation starts off. You must create a valid username and enable the setting in Profile before The Hold can give you an official Monthly XP rank or make you eligible for any prize offered under applicable season terms.

Profile visibility is a separate choice. You may compete with a public profile or keep your collector profile private and still qualify for the Top 5.

Participation off

Valid activity can remain in your private XP ledger, and collecting and achievements continue normally. You do not appear in official standings, occupy a rank, or qualify for a prize.

Participation on

Valid events occurring after consent can enter the official standings. Participation persists until you change it.

Scoring

How to earn Monthly XP

  • An executed fee-bearing The Hold acquisition of an Established token at $25.00+ earns 50 XP.
  • A $25.00+ Live or At Risk acquisition opens one season opportunity; successful graduation or recovery while still owned earns 500 or 250 XP.
  • A $1.00+ Graveyard acquisition earns 1 XP and can earn 999 more if it revives while still owned before cutoff.
  • Completing a frozen monthly collection awards a flat 5,000 XP, once per collection and season, using The Hold-qualified unlocks only.

Thresholds use the authoritative executed notional, not the requested quote. Selling and rebuying the same mint cannot create another primary path in the same season, and later market-value changes do not claw back earned XP.

Qualification

What counts

  • The acquisition must settle through The Hold's configured 0.50% fee-bearing Jupiter path and reconcile to the authenticated wallet.
  • External swaps, transfers, and wallet discovery remain visible in portfolio/history views but create no acquisition XP or contest collection unlock.
  • Lifecycle bonuses require fresh positive ownership when the successful transition occurs; later USD value is irrelevant.
  • One user, mint, and season receives one primary acquisition path, enforced by idempotent receipts and events.

Standings

How monthly ranking works

  1. The participant with the highest sum of valid season XP events ranks first.
  2. When XP is tied, the earlier authoritative time a participant reached their current contest score ranks first.
  3. If a tie remains, The Hold applies a stable deterministic fallback.

Opting in mid-month cannot count events from before consent. Opting out removes active rank and prize eligibility while preserving valid private ledger history.

Active-season standings and Top 5 indicators are provisional. Finalization uses only valid, pre-cutoff events from opted-in participants and then locks the winner records.

Private profiles

Compete without opening your collector profile

A private collector may participate. If they opt in, The Hold may display only the minimum contest identity needed for transparent standings:

May be public

Username, rank, XP, qualifying activity count, and Top 5 or winner status where applicable.

Remains hidden

Wallet address, wallet identifier, balances, portfolio value, exact holdings, private collection details, private showcase, private achievements, and account or session information.

A private competitor's username is not a link to their collector profile. Public-profile competitors may link to their privacy-safe public profile.

UTC seasons

A new competition each calendar month

Monthly XP seasons start at 00:00 UTC on the first day of a month. The event cutoff is 23:00 UTC on the final calendar day; 23:00–00:00 is reserved for finalization. Monthly opportunities and placement reset; permanent achievements do not.

Integrity

Fairness and finalization

  • Contest scores come from server-authoritative acquisition receipts and idempotent lifecycle events, not wallet balance snapshots or self-reported values.
  • The public leaderboard and final winner selection draw from the same explicitly opted-in consent population.
  • The contest stops accepting events at 23:00 UTC on the final day, and winner records are locked after finalization.
  • Transparent standings do not require public wallet addresses, balances, or exact holdings.

Important conditions

Eligibility and value can vary

Contest and prize eligibility may be subject to applicable law. Prize details, availability, and value can vary by season. Crypto or other market-valued rewards can fluctuate and should not be treated as a guaranteed investment return.

Fraudulent, abusive, manipulative, unlawful, or technically exploitative activity may result in restriction or disqualification where permitted by the Terms of Service. Final winner records are locked after finalization.
