Legal
Terms of Service
These Terms describe the rules and responsibilities that apply when you access or use The Hold.
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using The Hold, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Certain features may also require you to accept instructions or disclosures presented at the time of use.
2. Eligibility
You may use The Hold only if you are legally permitted to do so where you live and can enter into these Terms. You are responsible for understanding laws, restrictions, and tax obligations that may apply to your use, wallet activity, trading, or prize eligibility.
3. Wallet and device responsibility
You control your wallet and are responsible for its security, your devices, private keys, seed phrases, authentication methods, and every wallet prompt you approve. Review addresses, assets, amounts, fees, permissions, and transaction details before signing.
- Never provide The Hold—or anyone claiming to represent it—your private key or seed phrase.
- Use trusted devices and verify that you are on the correct The Hold domain.
- You are responsible for decisions made through a wallet you control or make available to another person.
4. Non-custodial service
The Hold does not custody user funds and does not possess users' private keys. You maintain control of your wallet. Wallet verification uses a signed message to demonstrate control; swap transactions require separate wallet authorization.
Blockchain transactions can be irreversible. The Hold cannot cancel a transaction already submitted to the network, reverse a confirmed transfer, or recover lost private keys or seed phrases.
5. Product features
The Hold may provide supported asset discovery, Active and Discovered collection states, completion progress, XP, achievements, public or private collector profiles, Monthly Contest Participation, leaderboards, prizes, and non-custodial swaps. Catalog status, pricing, availability, scoring projections, and feature behavior may change as data and infrastructure change.
Active reflects a supported holding at the latest successful verified sync. Discovered reflects prior verified collection history and is not current ownership. A catalog listing, badge, XP result, rank, or profile does not endorse an asset or constitute investment advice.
6. Monthly XP contest
Monthly Contest Participation is optional, requires an explicit opt-in, and is independent from profile visibility. A private-profile collector may participate, in which case their username, rank, XP, qualifying activity count, and contest or winner status may be public even though their collector profile remains inaccessible.
- Monthly XP is awarded only from valid server-authoritative events backed by a qualifying fee-bearing The Hold acquisition, an eligible lifecycle result, or frozen-roster completion.
- External acquisitions and transfers may appear in portfolio and collection history but do not create Monthly XP or satisfy a contest completion slot.
- The five highest-ranked eligible participants may receive that season's announced prizes.
- Ranking uses highest XP, then the earliest authoritative time the participant reached the current contest score, then a stable deterministic fallback.
- Only authoritative events occurring by 23:00 UTC on the final calendar day count; the final hour is reserved for finalization.
- Active-season standings are provisional. At finalization, participants who do not meet final eligibility are excluded and the remaining eligible candidates are reranked.
- Opting out removes active rank and eligibility for any announced season prize while preserving valid private ledger events and achievements. Events before a later opt-in do not gain contest eligibility retroactively.
This section describes product mechanics, not complete season-specific promotion rules. The current “To Be Revealed” prize state is not itself an offer or guarantee. Any prize offer must be accompanied by applicable season terms covering the offered prize, eligibility, timing, notification, claim process, and other legally required conditions.
Prizes and their value can vary by season, may be subject to applicable law, and are not guaranteed investment returns. Fraud, manipulation, abuse, coordinated exploitation, falsified activity, unauthorized access, or interference with contest integrity is prohibited and may result in restriction or disqualification before finalization. Finalized winner records are locked and remain historically final.
7. Trading and execution
The Hold swaps are non-custodial and require wallet authorization. Quotes, routes, pricing, and execution depend on third-party wallets, the Solana network, RPC and data providers, and swap, liquidity, and routing infrastructure. Price, availability, route, price impact, slippage, network cost, rent requirements, and final execution can change or fail.
Review each transaction independently. A quote, wallet prompt, routing result, or interface warning cannot eliminate blockchain, token, protocol, infrastructure, market, or user-error risk.
8. Fees
The Hold currently requests a 0.50% integrator fee through Jupiter's referral mechanism on supported swaps. Blockchain network fees, priority fees, account-creation or rent costs, price impact, and other transaction-specific costs may also apply and are separate from The Hold integrator fee.
9. Prohibited use
You may not use The Hold to:
- violate law or another person's rights;
- commit fraud, deceive users, launder proceeds, manipulate markets or competitions, or evade restrictions;
- attack, overload, scrape abusively, reverse engineer for exploitation, bypass security controls, or gain unauthorized access;
- introduce malicious code, interfere with service operation, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it responsibly;
- misrepresent identity, ownership, eligibility, prize entitlement, or wallet authority.
10. Third-party services
The Hold depends on third-party wallets, Solana and its programs, RPC and blockchain-data services, price providers, swap and liquidity routing, hosting, and analytics infrastructure. Those services are outside The Hold's control and may have separate terms and privacy practices. Their interruption, error, compromise, or change can affect The Hold.
11. No advice or recommendation
The Hold does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice and does not recommend buying, selling, or holding any asset. Collection status, popularity, XP, achievements, rank, displayed prices, and contest rewards should not be used as a substitute for independent research and professional advice appropriate to your circumstances.
12. Availability and no guarantees
The Hold is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Hold does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, complete or current data, a successful swap, a particular rank, prize availability, asset value, or fitness for a particular purpose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Hold and those involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the service. This includes losses related to market movement, wallet compromise, user error, transaction failure, third-party services, unavailable data, or service interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Access and restriction
The Hold may suspend, limit, or end access to protect users or the service, maintain integrity, investigate abuse, respond to legal requirements, or restrict fraudulent, manipulative, abusive, technically harmful, or unlawful use. Features may be changed, paused, or discontinued.
15. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as The Hold changes. The posted “Last updated” date will identify the current version. Continuing to use The Hold after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
